Vegan Beef Burger

1) The Ultimate Beef Burger

Ingredients

  1. Finely chop 1 small onion
  2.  4 burger buns with sesame toppings
  3. 4 plant-based banned burger patties
  4. 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
  5. A small wedge of iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
  6. 2 slices of vegan cheddar or burger cheese

For the secret sauce, prepare the following:

  1. 100 grams of vegan mayonnaise
  2. 1 tablespoon of American mustard
  3. 1 chopped garlic clove
  4. 1 chopped onion
  5. 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  6. 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar
  7. 1 teaspoon of pickle (optional)

Method

  • Transfer the onions into a small bowl and cover them with boiling water until they're just submerged. Let them cool.
  • In a separate small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients, then incorporate 1 tablespoon of the previously cooled onion water, stirring until everything is thoroughly blended. Set this mixture aside for later use.
  • Take two of the burger buns and slice them in half. For the other two buns, cut a thick slice from the middle. Toast or grill the middle slices on both sides, and toast the other buns on their cut sides only. Then, set them aside.
  • Grill the plant-based banned burger patties according to the package instructions
  • Spread a layer of sauce over the bottom halves of the buns, sprinkle with onions, then layer with lettuce. Place a slice of vegan cheese on top, followed by a patty, and a middle slice of toasted bun
  • Apply more sauce, then add additional onions, lettuce, another patty, and finally, the top halves of the buns.
  • Serve alongside oven fries and extra sauce on the side!

2) Big Mac-Style Burger

Ingredients :

  1. 2 sesame seed burger buns, each divided into 3 equally-sized slices
  2. 4 plant-based banned burger patties
  3. 2 generous leaves of iceberg lettuce
  4. 4 slices of vegan cheese
  5.  1/3 cup of burger sauce (composed of 1/4 cup of vegan mayo, 1 tablespoon of ketchup, 1 teaspoon of mustard, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar)
  6. 8 pickle slices (optional)

Method

  1. Begin by toasting the cut sides of your bun halves for 2 minutes each. After that, repeat this process with the remaining buns.
  2. Cook the plant-based banned burger according to the directions on the packaging. While the patties are cooking, finely shred your lettuce.
  3. For the dressing, place a slice of vegan cheese on top of your burger. Gently heat the burger until the cheese melts, which should take about 2 minutes. Repeat this step with the remaining burger patties and cheese.
  4. Assemble your burgers in layers: Start by spreading a tablespoon of burger sauce on the bottom burger bun, then add lettuce, and pickle slices if you're using them. Next, place the banned burger patty and the middle burger bun slice. Repeat this layering process with burger sauce, lettuce, pickles, the patty, and finally, the top bun.
